Supporting Student Placements at Cygnet Bury Hudson
The Occupational Therapy (OT) team at Cygnet Bury Hudson continue to welcome students for placements to work alongside and learn from them.
These placements continue to be a great success and the team are proud of their efforts, ensuring the students feel part of the team from day one.
Over the last 6 weeks, their most recent student, Francesca Hilton from Salford University, spent time with the OT team in Cygnet Bury Hudson with Moses Gambiza as her educator.
Francesca was kind enough to leave a few words of gratitude and said:
“I have had the most incredible experience during my placement on Columbus Ward at Cygnet Bury Hudson. I was made to feel very welcome within the OT team, the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) and the extensive ward team.
I spent time getting to know the service users, to be better able to support them with person-centred interventions and well-being support.
Every member of the team was professional, knowledgeable and accepting of my input and many questions. My educator, Moses, was dependable and supportive throughout the placement and gave me every opportunity to further my education, my understanding and knowledge of Occupational Therapy. He continuously supported and encouraged me, and I feel very fortunate to have had him as my educator.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time on Columbus Ward, and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of a wonderful team – I will miss everyone immensely!”
