Autism Awareness Day at Adarna House
Cygnet Adarna House, our rehabilitation service for men with mental illness and a secondary diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder in Bradford, marked National Autism Awareness Day with a variety of fun events and activities.
Service users were given the option of taking part in indoor and outdoor activities. Those who chose to stay indoors were able to take part in a sensory food-tasting session. The staff and service users who chose the outdoor activities chose to visit a local farm, where they were allowed to feed the farm animals. Everyone then took part in and enjoyed a mindfulness walk.
What a great way to mark National Autism Awareness Day!
