Celebrating Diwali at Cygnet Hospital Woking
Service users and staff recently celebrated Diwali, also known as the Festival of Light. The staff members wore ethnic Indian outfits (saree, long skirts and kurtas). Everyone looked beautiful in their vibrant colors. Diwali themed activities such as paper lantern making and coloured rangoli making were facilitated. A song and dance routine was performed for the celebration and the kitchen team supported the event by preparing different types of Indian sweets and cuisine, we had ladoos (sweet balls made from gram flour and sugar syrup, aloo (potatoes) curry, rice, momos, samosa etc.
