Celebrating International Men’s Day at Cygnet Hospital Beckton
On Tuesday 19th November, Cygnet Hospital Beckton marked International Men’s Day by honouring the amazing men in their workplace, families, and community.
Facilitated by Dr Jason Tan, Medical Director, and Matteo Parissi, Forensic psychologist, the event centred on this year’s theme, “Men’s Health Champions”. The team held an open forum to discuss key topics, such as mental health, physical well-being, and career growth, reflecting on the unique experiences of men in a female-only mental health hospital. Together, they explored strategies to foster a healthier, more supportive workplace and world for men.
The event celebrated male colleagues and their contributions, encouraging open dialogue, regular health check-ups, and activities that support overall well-being. It was an inspiring day, capped off with snacks and a delicious football cake.
