Celebrating Wear It Pink and World Menopause Day at Cygnet Hospital Beckton
On the 18th of October, Cygnet Hospital Beckton proudly participated in ‘Wear It Pink Day’ for breast cancer awareness and ‘World Menopause Day’ to raise awareness of the menopause and the support options available for improving health and well being.
The team seized this wonderful opportunity to stand in solidarity in the fight against breast cancer, with many of their staff members wearing pink clothing and accessories, showcasing their commitment to this important cause. They were inspired by Hospital Manager, Judith Etheridge who spoke passionately about raising breast cancer awareness, the importance of caring for one another, and the need for regular check-ups to promote early detection and support services.
Everyone also joined the Cygnet Women’s Network event, where they engaged with guest speakers and network members, focusing on both breast cancer and the menopause awareness. The day included an enjoyable quiz session, adding to the spirit of learning and camaraderie.
Well done to all the team for your participation and commitment to these vital issues.
