Cygnet Appletree celebrate Pride
Cygnet Appletree hosted an 80s-themed Pride party, which was suggested by the residents during their community meeting.
The day before the party, both wards baked a tiered rainbow cake, a school cake, and cupcakes. They also made tie-dye t-shirts for the occasion and put their crafting skills to the test by making Pride-themed bunting. All the staff and residents got involved, with colourful tutus proving to be especially popular.
Both wards hosted their own parties. Pippin Ward had a Smarties race and played giant Jenga, and everyone enjoyed the temporary tattoos and face paints. Bramley Ward made mocktails, had fun at a glitter station, and played garden games. It was a great day, with everyone enjoying themselves.
