Cygnet Hospital Bury are Hooked on Fishing!
Over the years at Cygnet Hospital Bury, Paul O’Keefe – Occupational Therapy Assistant, has been facilitating fishing groups across site. Paul facilitates sessions with male and female service users, and the deaf and hearing services across the site. Paul and Jade Haughton, senior support worker, visited Bradshaw fisheries recently with service user, Chelsey. Yet again, it was a very successful and enjoyable day out!
Chelsey said, “When I was little I used to go fishing with family members which I loved being out in the fresh air for the day. Once a month now Paul and Jade take me out fishing which brings back so many positive memories for me and we have so much fun. Paul and Jade support me so much but the best bit is when I catch a bigger fish than Paul”
