Cygnet Maple House holds first Maple Fest
On Thursday 18th July the team at Cygnet Maple House held their first summer festival which they called Maple Fest. The event was attended by patients, their family and friends, as well as external professionals involved in their care. There were ten dogs who also attended and behaved very well!
There was live music performances from four singers including two professional singers, a staff member and a patient. There was an ice cream van, mocktails, a photo booth, BBQ, circus act, and face painting. A carers tent also provided useful information for family members.
The feedback from patients, families and professionals was really positive. One family member said: “This is the nicest hospital, we have never had anything like this before when our daughter has been at other services.”
One patient said it was “the best day of my whole life.”
