Cygnet Views celebrates south east and east Asian culture
Service users and staff at Cygnet Views spent yesterday celebrating south east and east Asian culture. The unit was decorated with flags, lanterns, and information about the countries that make up South East and East Asia, for service users and staff to learn more about the culture.
For lunch a buffet was provided with a selection of South East and East Asian traditional dishes, these included; Thai green curry, Thai red curry, chicken chow mein, prawn toast, duck and vegetable spring rolls, spare ribs, sweet and sour chicken and banana fritters.
In the afternoon, time was spent learning about the different cultures and traditions of Asia. After this activities took place in the garden, including coloured powdered paint throwing, canvas painting and a stop for an ice cream break at the end!
The day was enjoyed by staff and service users and was a great opportunity to celebrate and learn more about South East Asian culture.
