Ellen Mhor Residents Supported to Vote
At Cygnet, we believe in empowering the people we care for in every aspect of their lives. For our residents and service users, voting can be an integral part of feeling connected to society and being a citizen. This includes the residents at Ellen Mhor, one of our residential services in Dundee, who were supported to register to vote and to attend the polling station for the General Election on 4th July 2024.
Lori Sutherland, Deputy Home Manager, said: “Staff made use of easy read documents to help support their understanding of the process and what their vote means. Some of the residents also enjoyed staying up late to watch the vote count in the evening.”
