Old Leigh House residents enjoy visits to the Ironworks
Residents from Old Leigh House have been enjoying regular visits to The Ironworks in Southend, which provides workshops and activities for everyone with different abilities and needs.
The Ironworks is a safe, warm community venue for everyone to visit and provides a busy schedule of events, social events, and workshops.
The residents have been visiting this since April this year. They particularly enjoy the community café, which provides delicious cakes and serves amazing hot drinks, while allowing the residents to participate in immersive events and performances.
Staff from Old Leigh House said: “From the moment you enter the door, everyone is made to feel welcome and the atmosphere of the community hub is filled with positivity. The residents are engaging in meaningful relationships and they always have someone new to talk to.”
