Old Leigh House visit the Sky Garden
Residents and staff from Old Leigh House recently enjoyed an exciting day out to London to visit the Sky Garden.
Joanna Furtak, Activities Coordinator, said: “Our tickets had been booked in advance and this was, for some, the first time to pass through security gates, metal detectors and scanners. After this, however, we rocketed up to the 35th floor of the building at ear-popping speed. The doors opened and before us lay the wonder of this high-altitude garden.
“The views over London were spectacular in many directions, with glimpses of the magnificent Tower Bridge and the River Thames sparkling far below us. After lunch at Costa, we made our way back home to Leigh-on-Sea.”
