Scottish Learning Disability Week at Ranaich House
As part of Scottish Learning Disability Week, Ranaich House has been busy looking at how they could celebrate the theme of ‘digital inclusion’.
They began by hosting a virtual quiz using Zoom. Service users sent an email to the other Scottish services inviting them to join the online quiz. Everyone had a great time, with the final result being Ranaich House and Trinity House coming in joint first place. Some people said it reminded them of good memories during Covid and they have agreed to participate in these virtual quizzes more often as a result.
As well as the quiz, residents who have been practicing as part of the Makaton choir decided to create a TikTok video during discussions on digital inclusion, to show everyone the progress they have been making. You can watch the video here.
These are great examples of using digital tools to include everyone in a way that is meaningful and lots of fun!
