World Bee Day at Cygnet Hospital Taunton
Cygnet Hospital Taunton have included sustainability and the environment into their wellbeing planner for 2024. They saw World Bee Day on Monday 20th May as a perfect opportunity to have some fun while engaging both staff and service users in conversations and work towards helping the natural environment and saving some bees.
They had bumble bee mascots around the site all day providing facts for everyone to learn about bees and their importance. They also held craft sessions in the garden where they made bee decorations, created bee hotels to put into their trees and created bee baths which are now hidden around the site to help them thrive.
As the hospital is located in the heart of the countryside, it was the perfect opportunity to support wildlife. At the end of a very productive day preparing the site, everyone came together to enjoy some refreshing bee-themed mocktails.
