Meet the Team
Jade Davies - Hospital Manager
Jade joined the Delfryn site as a preceptor mental health nurse in July 2013. Jade has had the opportunity to be closely involved in the assessment and treatment of service users with various mental health problems including psychosis, personality disorders, and substance misuse.
Jade enjoys working within a rehabilitation setting to support and encourage service users to learn and develop skills in order for them to continue with their recovery pathway. Jade was appointed hospital manager in 2023.
Laura Massey - Clinical Manager
Laura initially joined the team as a support worker in 2011. She then went to university and qualified as registered mental health nurse in 2015.
After gaining experience as a RMN at Cygnet Delfryn House, progressing to Senior RMN, Laura was appointed Clinical Manager of Cygnet Delfryn Lodge in February 2023.
In her spare time Laura is a football enthusiast and enjoys spending time in the great outdoors walking and exploring new places.
Rachel Ellett - Assistant Psychologist
Rachel gained her BSc in Psychology and Master’s degree specialising in Family and Child in Psychology. Rachel joined the company in 2012 as a Senior Support Worker and an Honorary Assistant Psychologist. In 2014, she became the Assistant Psychologist working in the female unit, Delfryn Lodge. Since 2020, Rachel works as the Site Assistant Psychologist for Delfryn Lodge, Delfryn House and Rhyd Alyn. She is the Lead Quality Assurance officer for care planning, a mental health first aider and a freedom to speak up ambassador. Rachel is soon to start training to complete the Qualification in Forensic Psychology.
Rachel devotes her time to developing strong therapeutic relationships with her patients as this allows her patients to work towards their recovery goals and to acknowledge their personal strengths. Furthermore, Rachel thoroughly enjoys supporting each staff team, through facilitating Reflective practice and assisting in staff training. In addition to this, Rachel is part of the Cygnet Research and Development (R&D) group and the current chair of the Delfryn site R&D group. Her most recent research has looked at understanding staff’s attitudes towards their working role.
Rachel is skilled in clinical assessment and in using a wide range of psychological interventions. In doing so, she actively incorporates an integrated approach to suit her patients’ individual treatment needs.
