Supporting up to 12 men, Cygnet Lodge Kewstoke provides a high quality care through a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach in a community facing environment. We focus on successful discharge planning from the moment individuals arrive.
Service users may have a range of mental health difficulties, including personality disorder or a mild learning disability (as a secondary diagnosis). Our approach focuses on a culture of risk management balanced with therapeutic optimism, where men have the opportunity to develop and practice skills they will need in a safe environment.
In addition to the rehabilitation service, we also provide a 15 bed male acute service, Haywood Ward. This is a safe and stabilising environment for men experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require emergency admission. Individuals may progress to the Lodge as a part of their care pathway from Haywood Ward to the community.
