Gables is situated on Ipswich Road directly opposite Upland Drive.
From A12 take A120 slip road to Colchester north/A1232/ Clacton/Harwich. Keep left and follow signs for Colchester/A1232. At the roundabout take the third exit onto Ipswich road.
The nearest railway station is Colchester North, managed by Greater Anglia. Gables is a 10 minutes journey by car/taxi from the station.
The residents chose the Princess Charlotte for their group Christmas meal this year with everyone wearing festive Christmas jumpers and paper crowns collected from their Christmas crackers.
The residents went to see the Christmas decorations and to visit Santa’s Grotto, where they had a fabulous time chatting with Santa and received a gift.
The residents have been enjoying weekly visits from Bailey the Therapy Dog who has been trained to provide comfort, support and relief people he visits.
A Gables resident requested to attended Colchester's 5th of November fireworks display. He enjoyed watching the colourful displays and procession of people.
