Kirsty Turner - Occupational Therapist
Kirsty joined Oakhurst Lodge in 2020 and also works at Amberwood Lodge.
She completed her Occupational Therapy degree at Coventry university. Prior to her role as an occupational therapist, Kirsty has also worked as an activities co-ordinator, support worker and occupational therapy assistant.
Kirsty enjoys the varied role of working with the people at Oakhurst lodge and supporting them with day to day living skills, environmental adaptation and sensory needs also enabling and training support staff to do the same.
Abigail Hemmins - Assistant Psychologist
Abigail (Abii) has been an Assistant Psychologist at Oakhurst Lodge since May 2023. Abii completed her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology at Bournemouth University, whilst also working as a support worker.
Abii spent several years in an Adult and Child mental health service, before returning to work in an Autism and Learning Disability setting.
Abii enjoys spending time with the residents to support them with their anxieties, difficulties and behaviours, to enable them to lead fulfilling lives. To further assist in the facilitation of incident management, Abii has developed an Incident Analysis tool which is being utilised across all the ADAS South Services.
