Meet the Team

Alice Fincham-Dukes – Registered Manager

Alice’s career started as a support worker in 2011. As a support worker she loved planning activities for the residents, building independence and communication skills to help them live their best life. She completed her Level 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care, developing skills and knowledge, which helped her gain promotion into a house management role.

Over the years Alice continued to learn, completing a Level 5 in Health and Social Care and she also used her passion for supporting people with behaviours of concern, to gain a Level 5 diploma in Practice Leadership in Positive Behaviour Support.

Alice spent the last 3 years as a Deputy Head of Care at her previous service, but after 13 and a half years decided on a move to Cygnet. She joined Outwood in May 2024 as Registered Manager. Alice hopes to support the residents to have the best quality of life, she never wants to stop learning and of course, she wants to continue to build on the development of the fabulous staff team here at Outwood!

Jade Thompson – Deputy Manager

Jade started her career at Outwood 2017 as a support worker. Jade enjoyed supporting the residents to their potential by promoting their independence. Jade was then promoted through the ranks and became an acting team leader and then a team leader.

Jade used all the skills and knowledge she learnt from team leading, to progress into the Deputy Manager position. Jade enjoys supporting the staff team, encouraging support and engagement, planning holidays for residents and mentoring staff to reach their potential. Jade is a huge support to the team and brings a lot of laughter and fun to the service.

Georgia Wood – Team Leader

Georgia has worked at Outwood since 2017 and has worked her way up from support worker to Acting Team Leader to full time Team Leader. Georgia has also provided support to a number of different Cygnet homes in order to develop her knowledge and understanding of the different roles and support that we provide to the individuals in our care. Georgia is extremely hard working and goes above and beyond for our residents, often taking the job home with her.

Georgia recently completed the Gold award for team leader wanting to progress into management and was able to reflect what she had learnt in a fun a detailed presentation.

Within the service Georgia takes on more than just her Team Leader duties, she is also a passionate food and nutrition lead and has put lots of effort into making all of the information accessible to empower residents with knowledge.

Georgia reflects Cygnet’s purpose to make a positive difference to the lives of the individuals we care for, their loved ones and all those who work with us through her practise and is an asset to Outwood!

Tessa Mounsey – Team Leader

Tessa began her career at Outwood in 2019 and since then has gained experience working with individuals with Learning Disabilities. Tessa initially started at Outwood as a support worker before progressing onto becoming an acting team leader. Tessa recently progressed to become one of the full time team leaders.

Tessa is keen to support others and empowers her staff team to get the best out of them. Tessa has a very willing approach and is always there to lend a listening ear and provide support to both the residents who live at Outwood and the staff team.

Tessa recently completed the Gold award training programme Team Leaders wanting to become Managers in the future. This has helped boost Tessa’s confidence and knowledge within the service and hopes to share this with other members of the team to ultimately increase the quality of care and meaningful activities at Outwood.
