We asked for creative and unique designs that we could print and distribute to service users and residents, their family and friends, and our customers. They did not disappoint, and with over 160 entries from 48 different services, we had a tough time selecting the winners!
On Monday 18th November the judging day was held at our London office and staff donned their Christmas jumpers, ate mince pies and viewed all entries. We also had help from service users at Cygnet Churchill who looked great in their light up jumpers!
“Going to the Christmas Card Judging Event at Cygnet Head Office was a really positive experience and good for our morale. It was good to see the whole process at Cygnet and realise how many people are caring for you, not just the staff at the hospital. We felt really included; all the staff were so welcoming! We’d all like to pass on our thanks to everyone who made the event a special occasion and for the guided tour.”Service users, Cygnet Churchill
We had a wide range of artwork entered, from glitter and sequins to cards that lit up! Everyone commented on the high standards and creativity of all the entries.
After counting all the votes, we are proud to announce our 3 winners:
1st place – Group Entry from Tupwood Gate Nursing Home in Surrey
2nd place – SO’N from Trinity House in Scotland
3rd place – GE from Cygnet Hospital Maidstone in Kent
The winning designs will be printed and used as our official Cygnet Christmas Cards for 2019. The winners will all receive copies of their cards and a gift voucher.
As the standards were so high we are also featuring the top 10 on the back of each card, the following were selected as part of the top 10 and are our runners up:
- NGV – Cygnet Hospital Bury in Lancashire
- EC – Cygnet Hospital Stevenage in Hertfordshire
- JE – Cygnet Hospital Harrow in London
- TM – Cygnet Hospital Ealing in London
- LAT – Trinity House in Scotland
- KBa – Cygnet Yew Trees in Essex

Thank you and congratulations to everyone that entered and all the staff that supported!
