2022 Cygnet Calendar Competition Winners Announced!

In April we launched the 2022 Cygnet Health Care Calendar Competition and asked our service users and residents from across the country to submit their paintings, drawings, photographs and arts & crafts projects to be featured.

A brand new Café has opened this week at The Fields residential service in Sheffield. The 'Evergreen Cafe', born out of the People's Council meetings, has been co-produced throughout the project, from the decisions on new fixtures and fittings to the café name.

Cygnet Hospital Hexham hails success of music therapy

Cygnet Hospital Hexham is working with a local student, Paddy Villiers-Stuart to hold music sessions and has credited music therapy for helping service users in mental distress. Paddy, from Hexham, brings a variety of instruments with him to the hospital and sings with service users and works with them to create original music.

Service users and staff from Swift Ward, Cygnet Hospital Taunton’s Older Adults acute service, have been busy celebrating nature with outdoor walks and crafts. They have created a wall display for this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week theme of ‘Nature’ and have also created some nature inspired arts and crafts.
