The package was developed as part of a national project that included service users and clinicians from a number of mental health trusts across England, as well as several independent providers, including Cygnet Health Care. Cygnet Health Care’s CQUIN Manager Suzanne Turner, who has led the All About Me project, gave a presentation at the launch event.

All About Me is designed to help service users meet their individual recovery goals, whether they are to leave inpatient care, learn about new technologies, or to increase understanding within their family support network. It provides a number of recovery tools in British Sign Language (BSL) rather than English. These include a BSL film and work book along with new user-friendly form templates.
“It has been a real pleasure to lead this project. We’ve created a flexible package that can be used to promote an individual’s recovery in BSL, something that has not previously been available”Suzanne Turner, Project Lead
All About Me had previously won the Outstanding Service User Achievement Award at the National Service User Awards which were hosted at Silverstone Circuit on 27th April.
