Carol received the silver prize in the Adult Social Worker of the Year category during the awards ceremony which took place on 29th November at the Lancaster London hotel. The award was sponsored by Christies Care.

Carol was announced as the silver award winner in front of an audience of 300 other social workers and representatives of the profession. On the evening the Chief Social Worker for Adults, Lyn Romeo, delivered a key note speech. Meanwhile both Norman Lamb, the Minister of State for Care and Support, and Edward Timpson, the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Children & Families, recorded special video testimonials.
In addition to winning the silver prize in the Adult Social Worker of the Year category Carol, and her colleague Stuart Jackson, were also finalists in the ‘Team of the Year, Adult Services’ category.
