Gary Philipson from BBC Radio Tees recently visited two of our neuropsychiatric hospitals in the North East, Cygnet St William’s and Cygnet Newham House, for a tour of the services and a chat with the hospital managers.
Cygnet St William’s in Darlington is a 12 bed service for men with acquired brain injuries. The service has recently celebrated its first anniversary with a ‘Good’ rating from the CQC. Cygnet Newham House in Middlesbrough is our brand new neuropsychiatric service for women. Opening in August 2020 the service consists of 12 hospital beds and 8 transitional care beds. You can listen to Gary’s interview with hospital manager David Williams via the link below.
