The day featured wonderful examples of pupils bringing their favourite books to life in their own special way. Pupils shared meaningful quotations and created colourful illustrations that beautifully captured the essence of their chosen stories.
In a thoughtful activity, pupils were invited to remember beloved books from their childhood and suggest titles they would recommend to younger readers. One pupil shared:
“I’d forgotten how much I enjoyed that book and how much I loved to read when I was younger – can we get a copy in the library?”
Pupils also enjoyed participating in the fun “Book Bingo” activity and spent time crafting their own unique bookmarks.
The celebration perfectly reflected the school’s ongoing efforts to help pupils develop an enjoyment of reading and appreciation for literature.
