The Kent Medical Campus, which already includes the Kent Institute of Medicine and Surgery, is anticipated to see the location of several new health-related occupiers. This concentration of health related enterprises is expected to lead to the kind of collaborative approaches that have been seen at similar developments in Europe and USA. This is one of the first significant medical park developments to occur in the UK.
The proposed hospital will provide 65 beds across four separate services. There will be generous facilities for therapeutic and recreational activities, training and administration. In total, the proposed building will provide an average of 86 square metres of total floor space per service user, the highest of any Cygnet development so far.
“We are excited to enhance our national network of services and open the second facility within the county of Kent. Cygnet Hospital Maidstone has been developed following extensive feedback from a variety of our NHS customers, and we look forward to refining the service model alongside our customers over the remainder of the year.”Lee Hammon, Commercial Director
Tender preparation is well advanced with a start on site date targeted for late September.
