Community Residential Services Gardening Project

This week it is National Allotment Week and we wanted to tell you about the fantastic Gardening Project at Kirkside House, our enhanced community residential home for adults with learning disabilities and associated complex needs.

We are delighted to announce that Woodrow House, our new specialist residential home for adults with learning disabilities, is due to open in January 2019 and we are now accepting referrals.

All four services confirmed for Cygnet Hospital Maidstone

We are delighted to confirm the service lines and ward names for all four of the services at Cygnet Hospital Maidstone. The first two wards, Kingswood and Roseacre will be opening in October 2018 and are now accepting referrals.

Cygnet Victoria House opening new male acute service

Albert Ward, Cygnet Victoria House's new 8 bed male acute service, will be opening on Monday 6th August 2018. The service will provide a safe and stabilising environment for men who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission.

Elston House awarded Outstanding overall by CQC

We are delighted to announce that, following an unannounced CQC inspection on 14 May 2018, Elston House has been awarded Outstanding in the domains of 'Responsive' and 'Well-Led' resulting in a fantastic overall Outstanding rating.

Cygnet Hospital Sheffield Summer Fayre raises money for Place2Be

The young people on Cygnet Hospital Sheffield's Peak View ward recently hosted a summer fayre to raise money for the children's mental health charity, Place2Be. The event, which was held on 5th July, was originally proposed by the young people at a community meeting in May.
