Cygnet Hospital Maidstone appoint Dr Anup Mathew

Cygnet Hospital Maidstone are delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Anup Mathew. Dr Mathew will be the dedicated consultant for Kingswood Ward, the hospital’s mental health recovery and rehabilitation service for men.

Community Care services hold their annual Project Outdoor Day

Our West Yorkshire based Community Care services recently held their annual Project Outdoor Day. The event was on Tuesday 5th June at the Bradley Wood Scout Campsite in Huddersfield. This year the team created a fun and inclusive activity day, to suit all. There was a rope climbing course, classic fairground games to engage, problem solving, sports games, themed nature trails and much more.

This week it is Men’s Health Week and the focus this year is on diabetes. Cygnet Hospital Blackheath, which provides low secure mental health and PICU services for men, celebrated Men’s Health Week by producing a workshop service users on managing and preventing diabetes.

NEW Services Opening in June 2018

We are excited to be opening three new services throughout June 2018 across Cygnet Health Care. These include a new female PICU at Cygnet Hospital Woking, a new specialist personality disorder service for women at Cygnet Hospital Colchester and a new rehabilitation service for men with a learning disability at Cygnet Hospital Taunton.

Cygnet Hospital Bury joins Social Inclusion Football League

Since the beginning on March 2018 a team of service users from Cygnet Hospital Bury have been competing in the Social Inclusion Football League alongside other hospitals and mental health organisations. Team Cygnet have been participating in monthly fixtures organised by Creative Support and played at Blackburn Rovers Indoor Football Centre.
