On Friday 12th May Cygnet Hospital Blackheath hosted an event to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week. The event focussed on the positive message of this year’s theme of 'Surviving or Thriving'.

On 9 May 2017 Cygnet held its latest free educational event, 'Stigma In Mental Health: The role stigma plays and strategies for positive change.' More than 120 delegates gathered at the Village Hotel in Leeds for the event which addressed the problem of mental health stigma and what strategies can be used to help those affected by stigma.

‘Unlabelled’ an anti-stigma film produced by service users at Cygnet Hospital Stevenage has won an award at the 2017 National Service User Awards. The film won in the category of 'Recovery and the Arts'.
On Friday 31 March 2017, Cygnet Hospital Ealing and Cygnet Lodge Kenton marked going 'smoke free' with their own Clean Air Act 2017 celebrations. The purpose of the festivities was to mark the end of smoke-filled lives and spaces at Cygnet, and the beginning of healthy new policies and lifestyles.
On Friday 7th April 2017, Cygnet Hospital Blackheath and Cygnet Lodge Lewisham co-hosted the first of three “Family, Friends and Caregivers” events for the year. The day’s agenda covered a variety of topics all delivered by guest speakers, providing attendees with support and information that they would find useful.
We are delighted to announce that Cygnet Hospital Bierley and Cygnet Hospital Stevenage have both been recipients of this year's APT Awards for Excellence in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
We are delighted to announce that Cygnet Hospital Bierley’s two low secure services have achieved the Full Monty Star Wards status. The awards go to the hospital's Bronte Ward, a low secure service for women and Shelley Ward, a low secure service for men.
On Wednesday 22nd March staff and service users at Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke raised over £200 for Comic Relief by participating in a mass Rowathon.
On 15th March 2017, Cygnet Lodge Lewisham hosted a Peer Support and Recovery Day. The event was open to all service users and staff from Cygnet Lodge Lewisham.
