The aim was to inspire and motivate both service users and staff to create successful and truly co-produced Recovery Colleges in their services.

The Recovery College launch events held in Stevenage and Barnsley signified the beginning of a new era of co-production and collaborative working between service users and staff.

The events were led by ImROC (Implementing Recovery through Organisational Change) Anna Lewis – Senior Consultant at ImROC was joined by Sue Williams and Waldo Roeg who have lived experience of mental health services. Anna and her team delivered interactive sessions aimed at deepening peoples understanding of what makes a successful Recovery College.

The audience really appreciated hearing from people who have been in mental health services about their positive experiences of Recovery Colleges to date.
“We will continue to drive towards success for Recovery Colleges at Cygnet Health Care and bring about positive change in service provision, one that sees service users and staff working side by side to improve services for all.”Brett Peers, Recovery College Lead
These events also provided an opportunity to share the hard work being done by the service users and staff in establishing their Recovery Colleges and to provide information and support for future development.
