On Monday 5th December the Cygnet Social Work Awards were held virtually. The event was a celebration of all Social Workers and Social Work Assistants at Cygnet Health Care.
Well done to the team at Cygnet Churchill who have retained the hospital’s ‘Good’ rating following the latest inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Three students at Cygnet Hospital Bury’s Excel & Exceed Centre have had their artwork chosen to be included in the 15th annual Koestler Art Exhibition at the Southbank Gallery in London.
Congratulations to the staff and young people at Cygnet Hospital Sheffield’s Pegasus Ward which has recently become CAMHeleon accredited. Developed by the same team who created Star Wards, CAMHeleon celebrates and promotes Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) ward best practice and the things that really make a positive difference to young people.
Earlier this week our CAMHS teams from Cygnet Hospital Sheffield were invited to present at The Royal College of Psychiatrists Quality network for inpatient CAMHS (QNIC) National conference. Three young people presented alongside members of staff to over 100 delegates.
In September we launched the Cygnet Christmas Card Competition for 2022, in which we ask our service users and residents from around the country to get into the festive spirit and show off their artistic side!
Sherry Packard, Unit Manager, and the team at Chaseways have recently completed their first quality improvement (QI) project, achieving fantastic results. Chaseways are the first official Social Care team within Cygnet to embark on a QI project using our Cygnet QI framework from start to finish, implemented at our launch in October 2021.
On Thursday 24th November we launched a new carers’ passport to improve the experience of those looking after adults with mental health and learning disabilities. The launch took place at the first Regional Carers Network event held at Cygnet Churchill. The event was a celebration of Carer Rights Day and featured presentations from a range of expert speakers.
On Tuesday 22nd November we held the first annual Cygnet Safeguarding Conference and National Awards Ceremony. The conference was held virtually with presentations from individuals in our care, Cygnet staff, NHS staff and speakers from various external organisations.
In April we launched the 2023 Cygnet Health Care Calendar Competition and asked our service users and residents from across the country to submit their paintings, drawings, photographs and arts & crafts projects to be featured.
On Tuesday 15th November we held our first ever Cygnet Staff Achievement Awards. The day was a celebration of our caring, dedicated and hard-working colleagues across the organisation.
